Great! Thanks for doing the research for me. Really, I was just too lazy to compile it. I also wanted to see what the standard talking-point bits of legislation were.

And what talking points they were, indeed. I've spent about an hour now trying to find references to these last three bills. There are multiple acts entitled "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act," one for 2006 (S. 2611) and one for 2007 (S. 1348). There seems to be nothing referencing bills named either "The 2007 Government Ethics Bill" or "The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill" except a bunch of blog and forum sites where, mysteriously, some people have posted the same list you posted here. If you could give me a link to each of the Senate bills at http://thomas.loc.gov, that'd be great. GovTrack.us makes it even easier to not find. I'm not willing to keep looking for vaporous legislation. From GovTrack.us:

Statistics: Barack Obama has sponsored 121 bills since Jan 24, 2005, of which 116 haven't made it out of committee and 2 were successfully enacted. Obama has co-sponsored 490 bills during the same time period.

I suppose those two were the first two you mentioned. So what does this tell me? Obama is a whole lot of talk, but lacks any real substantial history of the reform that he claims to bring. Congratulations to Obama for co-sponsoring The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 (S. 2590), but McCain's a co-sponsor on that bill as well. And it passed unanimously in the Senate. I'm glad it was passed, but it wasn't exactly courageous. Obama's what we call a rank-and-file Democrat. Reform? That's gonna require someone that is willing to risk his political position in favor of doing what is right. Congress has a record low approval rating, and Obama's right in the mess with the best of them, doing exactly as he's told.

For future reference, you may want to keep in mind that co-sponsoring legislation is nothing more than attaching your name to it to say, "Yes, I agree." It's slightly more than merely voting "aye." Sure, it's much better than voting "present," but it's still not enough to claim the legislation as your own.
