Signal flow with optical ADAT is the same as you'd expect, only there's 8 channels running through it. And yes, you want to set the ensemble as the master clock, and set the lightbridge to accept wordclock from the ensemble (make this change from the m-audio control panel software). The hardest thing you'll encounter is figuring out the routing inside the maestro control panel. What you're basically setting up is the ability to use the ensemble as a stand-alone converter box. I already have a mac and ensemble and just ordered PTMP/M-Audio lightbridge. But I have no idea how this optical ADAT works.
